The Feeling of
HOME
A collection of five original paintings
about the moments that make us feel held
What does home mean to you?
- Is it the quiet of being alone on your couch after a long day?
- The warmth of a hand that holds yours without being asked?
- The weight of a baby asleep on your chest?
- The scent of food your mother used to make?
- The laughter of a friend who knows you completely?
Home isn’t just a place. It’s a collection of feelings. This is that collection.

The Story
The Feeling of HOME
February 2026
I’m Ayushi. Over the last few years, my life has been one transition after another — moving from Seattle back to Bangalore, becoming a mother, leaving behind one version of my life to build another. There were days that felt like everything was shifting under my feet. Days I felt overwhelmed, unanchored, searching for something steady.
I kept looking for home.
And then I started noticing it. It was already there. In quiet, ordinary moments. Sinking into the couch at the end of a long day. My husband’s hand in mine without a word. My daughter asleep on my chest. The smell of food my mother used to make. Laughing with a friend who knows me completely.
This collection is those moments — turned into paintings. Each painting captures one feeling of home — the ones we carry no matter where we are. Whether you’re in Bangalore missing your childhood kitchen, or in Seattle missing your friends, or anywhere in between trying to make sense of where you belong — these paintings are for you.
“I painted these from the messiest, most overwhelming season of my life — and somehow, each one became a moment of peace.”
